Trevor, the songwriter, told me it's about his grandma dying, how he was really close with her, and being in denial that she was actually going, which is the reason for all of the "you'll never die" repetition and desperation in the song. the spirit building a new brain is likely a reference to ephesians 4:23/romans 12:2, i believe. |

the lyrics are definitely wrong. anyway, this song probably has nothing to do with this, but it makes me so happy because it reminds me of Sharing Gods Word to people and them getting born-again (Believing Romans 10:9-10) and the great Hope of the return of Christ (though to say we got much hope) and the fact that as a Christian, you can still feel lost, but it's only for a little while in the long run until Christ returns. (if i am lost its only for a little while) I'm sure many people are going to dispute me and they can go ahead. I'm not saying this is what the song is about, but it blesses the shit out of me listening to it sometimes and thinking about how good God is. peace. |
