Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – 20 Hours Lyrics 18 years ago
I think this song is talking about how someone lost someone close to them (girlfriend, family member, ext.) and lost sleep over the death. They wanted nothing more than to be with them and believes the only way to be with them again is by death, hence "a crisis away".

"Left a flower in the spring
You know that I’m coming back"

saying that not only did they lose the lost one but the lost one lost them, but they will be back together again just like flowers go away and come back through the seasons.

"Beyond the stars there’s no one alive
I know there’s a way
This 20 hours since my sleep
I know you will stay
Until this moment, don’t talk to me
A crisis away"

Bringing up the first line, simply saying that people that die go to "heaven" which is beyond the stars (not necessarily saying he is religious, just using the metaphor to symbolize and to paint a picture) and he believes he can get to her but he doesn't want her (symbolizing his conscience) to talk to him and try to talk him out of it until after he has died so he wont chance not actually going through with it because he knows she will be there, she cant leave and he wants to be with them

"Left the hour you descend into another time
All the words you held inside
I don’t know what has become of you
But I know what’s left
All my hope you would divide"

To make it simple, i believe he thinks when she died she took his being (such as ambitions, heart, soul, ext. w/e you wish to call it) and he just hopes she will give him back part so he can go through what needs to be done to get to her

Ok, this could all be way off but thats just what i got from it haha (change all the (he's, she's, and they's) to a generic form because i dont know if this is nessarily from a guys point of view about a girl that he loves, a family member, or w/e else, but a lover would make the most sense)
