First off the song is in German so even if it said lsd or cocaine or something chances are you wouldnt be able to understand it (I dunno if there is a different word for cocaine in german or not) but also those arent the real lyrics (thank you Zildatos for posting the correct ones). First off, no one in TH is emo. Their music is not emo either. Now then. I don't exactly know what they have meant by this song but on September 11, 2007 one of my swim team coaches, Marissa Boyan, died of a brain tumor. I had just recently been introduced to TH and this song expressed what I was feeling. "Running through the monsoon, to the end of time, where the rain won't hurt." The monsoon to me equals life and how it is hard through your whole life to the end of your time. The rain (aka life) won't hurt when we die. "Fighting the storm into the blue and when I lose myself i think of you" Once again the storm is life and "into the blue" is basically saying into the unknown. We don't know exactly what will happen in the future. "And when I lose myself I think of you" is what really got to me, because Coach Marissa was so full of life, and no matter what she was faced with, she always had a smile on her face. She fought hard against her brain tumor and she never gave up on her dreams (she was diagnosed when she was in college). RIP Coach Marissa, we all miss you. |

So I think that this song has a dual meaning. Yes I think it does talk about Disneyland (or Disneyworld if you're from the Eastern USA), but it could also be about our country. The US is a Tragic Kingdom. It could also describe DarKastle at Busch Gardens Europe as well (as stated by the_journalist) |
