AARRGGHHHH, this song is awful. Too repetitive, the lyrics are shallow and the message could be summed up in a single phrase. Oh, and the music itself is obscenely uninteresting. What a crappy, crappy song. Decent for elevator music, I suppose...

Enough about that, though. I think of this song as about how people often have such beautiful feelings trapped inside but can't reveal them because society is so mocking. So, they build up facades and hide their deepest emotions. |

The one in the Big Blue is what the world stole from me
This night will bring him back to me
I wonder if the Big Blue is the sky/heaven, and the one in the Big Blue is God. Based on that, maybe being a part of human society has stripped this person of her spirituality and belief in what she cannot see? And in dreams, where there is no Earth logic, that will return her spirituality to her.
Just a thought. It sort of ties in with the rest of the innocence theory, too. |
