1. Yeah I am weird, seriously, people either love or hate my sense of humour. I'm by far not at my strangest right now. 2. Thinking meat is murder doesn't make you a militant vegan, trying to convert people to veganism by calling them disgusting cannibals makes you a militant vegan ^^ I'm a fairly socialist guy, but I can be around right-wingers all night without any problems, as long as they don't start spouting racist crap. I respect /don't care about their opinions, and they respect / don't care about mine. I dislike militant leftwingers / rightwingers / religious people just as much as I dislike militant vegans, it's radicalism I can't stand. |

Hah, nah you didn't insult me. You were just a tad 'blunt' sotosay, and my goal (and probably missingfairy's one, too) was to point this out to you, which obviously worked out. Well, I had fun anyway, and I'm glad I'm not a complete asshole. Oh last thing: I *don't* hate vegans, I'm pretty 'hippy' myself and I hang out with plenty of them. It's the militant MEAT IS MURDER types which get real old real fast. Although it is fun to kinda rile 'em up. I didn't even use the VEGANS ARE EVIL BECAUSE THEY EAT PLANTS WHICH IS BAD FOR PLANET EARTH!! argument, which is ofcourse utter bull but never fails to provide hilarious results. |

ShyBoysWinXO: You've got the right idea. If you want to be a vegan, hey, you've got my respect. You try to have a normal discussion (and/or try deliberately to piss people off). People like missneurotic, though, are zealous. So, I do my very best to annoy them until they go preach somewhere else (I'd do the same with any religious person, or whatever). That's what people don't like about 'militant' vegans; constantly they're trying to somehow convert you to their cause, and to be honest, it's annoying. Seriously, I can't think of any reason to be offended by somone's eating habit (unless said habits include, like, children of something... Wait, disregard that, eating children sounds awesome). |

One of Clutch's best, along with the entire Impetus record! I'd say it's about paranoia, aliens and conspiracy theories, kinda like Animal Farm. I wouldn't really claim it has a 'real' philosophical meaning though. Escape from the Planet of the Apes would be escaping from earth, because in essence humans are just sophisticated apes. The Prison Planet would suggest being trapped, maybe the song's personae thinks himself an alien? |

Haha, in during shitstorm. Anyway, it's not about vegan's. Seriously, it's not, read the bloody lyrics instead of shouting at us horrid cannibals how evil we are. It's about any kid yelling he / she will singularly change the world by writing angry stories on LiveJournal (or Songmeanings.net, for that matter), adapting their philosophies to suit their interests. And yeah, the same philosophy goes for Washinton D.C, I guess. So instead of starting the entire vegan-routine, try and contribute something. Not eating meat isn't why I hate vegans; this discussion is why I hate vegans. They just bawww about how people don't respect them. Animal Cruelty? Whatever. I think the song is about sadism / sadomasochism and dehumanization. Lyrics in the song refer to domination, torture; 'I could kill you if I wanted; kill you with my own two hands' refers to him having absolute control of the subject's life. The phrase 'this little piggy never made it home', from the nursery rhyme ('this little piggy went to the market' etc.) is about sending a pig to the abattoir. It's like a psychopath's ravings, objectifying it's victim. |
