This song really confused me when i read the lyrics-its great, like all his music but it defo confused me more than he usually does.SImple in a way-he was sinking into a bad way of life and something got him out of that. Still, it seems muddling-or in my brain anyway! The 'another bean in the star machine bit' seems to be about him not standing out and then standing out, almost defeating it and making him a star. If all just seems really odd...... |

Yeah ok it could be about all of this muslim stuff but its more like the situation i'm in that loads have been in too. Maybe its just saying about something unknown following him, that won't leave his thoughts, its always there while he's trying to concentrate on more desperate real life things. I recently nicknamed a friend who I'd like to be so much more than a friend Monsieur Moonshadow, he is like the moon shadow in this song in many wats. I just hope that he reads this and can appreciate not only that but how great this song is. I dont see how anyone could hate it |

Or maybe this is just a private part of the poor man's life that he managed to keep private from the world, God help him. I mean, i love him and his music as much as anyone could but not everything needs to be crossexamined.
