Geez, am I the only person who liked the video? You're all looking at it very superficially. The schoolgirl/teacher theme is SYMBOLISM. He has a control over her, she is lured in with this false idea of him being amazing because he has forcefed her his lies. Her dreams of him are shattered by the end of the song. Shown in the video by the other girls falling apart around her, she sees she was not the only one to have been sucked in to his "game" The video rocks, i love most of their videos.. they are made really well. Plus.. Chibi is sooo hott. lol. - Amy xx |

I have a weird interpretation on this one. I think its about the way our world works, they decaying sense of destruction our humanity reaps on everything. The song is called Mandala - Like Nelson Mandala, a guy who is all about Peace even though he was locked away by white men for freaking ages. "There are cities buried underneath our cities." We bury the mistakes we have made previously, and build new mistakes over them. The reference to religion is almost like a cry for help, Like a prayer of "why has this happened, help me find the origin" The Cartoon part is describing the fact that we ignore the reality of the problem and build false ideas about the world - cartoon houses, cartoon cars.. I might be totally wrong but whatever. LOL xx |

Its like being sung to a person who trys to force non-belief onto Christians, throught the use of sad vignettes of these people lives. Beautiful song. |

Yes, the rape part everyone has mentioned, but the start is left untouched? At the start it seems to me, it is about the rapists life. As a kid he was neglected, wonders what its like to feel love.. He feels he must force himself upin the girl, because he was never loved in the first place. Yeah.. Well thats what I reckon |

I think its a really interesting point that they are 'bleeding' over the coffin of his youth. They are both sacrificing something. I think the idea of a forgotten innocence is accurate, a first physical encounter.. but the girl seems pretty upset about this too. and also; he is questioning, was this loss worth it? "Would you die for me too?" xx |
