"Between the click of the light and the start of the dream"
I always thought that between the moment where we begin to use the full capacity of our brains, (the click of the light > in this sense, light =wisdom;knowledge, etc.) and the start of the dream (coming to realize that no one really knows what occurs A.D.) is the ultimate moment of recognition of the spiritual self. Most of Arcade Fire's music deals in ambiguous metaphors and they can be interpreted in multiple ways. I suppose so many people can interp. their music in so many different ways, it shows you what kind of Large space WIN BUTLER, as an artist, creates within his music and lyrics. It exposes our humanity. |

I'm reminded of the feeling towards the cost of being on your own, branching out into new directions, etc.etc. Regret for regretting, which in itself is a paradox, but the musicality of the song is a bit of a paradox is you listen to how the instruments provide a counter punctual element to one another. |
