Samamidon – Sugar Baby Lyrics 18 years ago
I think the real success of this song is that its poignancy goes uncompromised by obscure lyrics. Amidon is here reflecting on love and loss, on drifting through life without his beloved. He seems to imply that his lack of material success was the crux of their dissolution: "Gave her every dime I had / What more could a poor boy do?"

I love the billowy blues sound and the quiet, contemplative, and altogether unadorned sadness this song contains. Amidon's best on this CD.
