I'm really not into the whole internet arguing crap, but first of all Acruxian you're an ignorant jackass. The meaning of a song can be whatever a person wants it to be, how it affects them, and relates it to their life experiences. It's a personal thing. That's the point of this whole site, for people to open up and share what these songs mean to them. And this song isn't a military thing about the "war" in Iraq which really isn't a "war" it's a police action. We're just sending people over there to get blown up by roadside bombs. The U.S. military is a joke nowadays and Bush is a moron. ANYWAYS, this song reminds me of a break up also. The war reference is about the person (male or female) viewing love as a battlefield and having so many regrets (badge for my scars) that they feel hopeless and that they should give up the fight and die emotionally, and never love again. If anyone agrees with mine let me know, I'd love to hear your feedback : ) |
