I think the lyrics need correcting - the "You've got the Fear" line doesn't appear on the first chorus. |

Satellite town - Elbow are from Bury which is nowadays basically a satellite town of Manchester. It wasn't planned as such but Manchester has expanded so much that its taken in a lot of places. |

The song is actually about Bury, a town in north Manchester where the band hail from. Possibly the only successful band to every come from Bury, and apparently most of the album has references to their home town. |
