listening to this song I really struggle with it. I adore it because it is so beautiful and haunting and really resonating and I like it. But it's heartbreakingly sad and the whole atmosphere is so creepy but when that damn black box starts playing its almost too much. I just can't help thinking about those poor people on the plane and this poor kids in love about to die. I almost can't listen to it but am compelled because it's so good. |

I really don't get the religious thing AT ALL. "Rabbit in Your Headlight" indicates something is frozen unable to move, frightened and for me its pretty obvious Thom is singing about society and how shit it is no matter what you do to try and make it better (Christian Suburbanite) it's about everyone just drifting through life, their souls slowly being sucked away by greed, hurt, pain, monotony, sadness. I might be a fucking idiot but I'm not getting the "messages all the enlightened ones have been relaying" |

I think the lyrics are about what a fair few Radiohead songs are about- the malaise of modern society, going through the motions etc. I have seen the clip and think it's really good but I'm pretty sure the song has nothing to do with Jesus or anything religious. |
