Metallica – Of Wolf And Man Lyrics 17 years ago
'In wildness is the preservation of the world' is a famous quote from Henry David Thoreau. Coincidentally, it appears in the introduction of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest which Welcome Home (Sanitarium) is based on.

Soundgarden – Jesus Christ Pose Lyrics 17 years ago
BlackHoleson, you are so stupid. You're the one who needs faith because otherwise you'd have nothing. You don't believe, you just feel the need to have something to believe in. Well, atheism is a faith in my eyes, because it is the belief in no God, rather than denouncing those that are argued to exist yet still believing in one, atheists believe that there is no God. I'd say it's a pretty big leap of faith to believe that. Face your Faith? Man, you're way off, I'd rather have a Jehovah's Witness on my doorstep than you. You are pathetic, only having faith because it helps you sleep at night. So you go and grow some fucking balls, think logically, not selfishly.

Alice in Chains – Don't Follow Lyrics 17 years ago
i have to say, moleman1976, that's a rather outrageous thing to say. iC were, undoubtedly, better musicians on the wohle than Nirvana, but I don't think that AiC lyrics match up to either Nirvana or Pearl Jam. Jerry Cantrell perhaps pips Mccready in terms of a guitarist, but it's difficult to compare drummers, because PJ have had so many. I think this ais a great album, taking great in the proper sense of the word, rather than an over excited good. However, PJ have great albums too, and so I think that the comparison is more difficult to make than you seem to suggest, as well as the fact that AiC were heavier than PJ and Nirvana, and possibly into the metal category. Still, an opinion is an opinion, and you're entitled to it.

Pearl Jam – Save You Lyrics 17 years ago
i think it was written about mike's alcoholism. from eddie's, and to a very short extent, the rest of the band's hence the third and fourth line. and eddie wrote at least part of it.

Pearl Jam – Wash Lyrics 17 years ago
i'm a huge fan so don't think i'm ripping the song, i adore it, but the final lines of the first verse make me laugh when i read them back. it's as if his girlfriend has bad breath. love this song though-think it's similar in nature to most pj songs-multiple meanings. There it's loads to glean, but none is necessarily right or wrong. Personally i think it's about drugs and rehab etc.
