| Evanescence – Tourniquet Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| MusicxJunkie: they "technically" aren't a Christian band because they didn't sign a Christian label, but they still sing about Christ and God and Salvation. that makes them a Christian band to ***ME***. | |
| Evanescence – Tourniquet Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| lilpunk8267. this song talks all about the salvation of Jesus Christ. that means that she prayed a prayer that accepted Jesus as her savior, understanding that he died on the cross to pay for the ENTIRE world's sins, and that she will become reborn, a new person, a follower of Christ. because God is completely holy, sin separates us from him forever. But he sent his only son to die (Knowing full well that he would rise from the dead) to pay for the sins of the world. This song is saying how she accepted salvation or got 'saved', but she thinks she has done too many bad things and is falling away from God. She is asking whether when she dies and goes to face judgment whether or not God will accept her into heaven, "am i too lost to be saved?". she refers to God as her tourniquet because He can save your soul for eternity (much like an earthly tourniquet, a bandage that stops bleeding and can save your life). | |
| Evanescence – Bring Me To Life Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Rayne9045: if she said that, (which i strongly believe she didn't, but i have no proof) she would only say that because she doesn't want all of the non-believers to stop listening to her. she wants people to slowly understand the message without being overwhelmed by it, like how some non-believers react to Christian music that's straightforward about it. | |
| Evanescence – Bring Me To Life Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song is about the salvation of Christ. she wants Jesus to come into her life and make her "re-born", bringing her to life. (first line) talking about how Jesus and God can see right in her heart and she can't stand it because she knows that she can't go to heaven by just being a good person. she wants Jesus to bring her back home. (heaven) (second line, skip the chorus it's at the end of this message) Amy knows about salvation, and now she realizes what it really means and wants it and accepts it. (third line) They've been living a lie because they knew about salvation and didn't accept it. (fourth line) she is saying she is nothing without Jesus living in her heart, and talking about how he rose from the dead [Only you are the life among the dead] (fifth line) talking about when she realized she needed to go through Jesus to get to God. (sixth line) she's tired of living an empty life. (seventh and eighth line) she is nothing without Jesus, she has no thought, no voice, and no soul without him. she doesn't want to die without the gift of salvation. (Chorus) She wants Jesus to bring her back to life, save her from the dark and the nothing she has become (hell) sorry if all of it seemed kind of the same as one another, but all the lines are related very closely. |

| The Chicks – Not Ready To Make Nice Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| i think that the dixie chicks shouldn't have slammed bush so distastefully in public. it is their place to sing, not to make political statements, they are not politicians. yes, it is nice that they have the right to free speech and all, but it was rude and she owes(owed) bush some respect, just like the same respect that i owe obama, even though i don't support him or agree with his views. this song, to me, shows that the dixie chicks are extremely stubborn and can't just admit that they shouldn't have said that. i <3 the song, just not the meaning. | |
