Tiger, tiger, burning bright In the forests of the night, What immortal hand or eye Could frame thy fearful symmetry? In what distant deeps or skies Burnt the fire of thine eyes? On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand dare seize the fire? And what shoulder and what art Could twist the sinews of thy heart? And when thy heart began to beat, What dread hand and what dread feet? What the hammer? what the chain? In what furnace was thy brain? What the anvil? What dread grasp Dare its deadly terrors clasp? When the stars threw down their spears, And water'd heaven with their tears, Did He smile His work to see? DID HE WHO MAKE THE LAMB MAKE THEE? Tiger, tiger, burning bright In the forests of the night, What immortal hand or eye Dare frame thy fearful symmetry? --William Blake God loves all things. Jesus is the lamb. Satan may be the Tiger. "Let the people be free" (Moses?) Let the people belive what they choose. What does it matter to you anyway? |

contradiction. rapture. whenever our bad times come, we always end up the same. what's the use in perfection? you've gotten what you asked for, God. don't expect us to change. what you want is the glory. |

concience battling faith. putting to much pressure on religion. but is it real anyway? im waiting for the day to come when we see the end, but we'll never know if our efforts were worth it. in the end, who does it matter to? if we're dead, then certainly not us. in my own words. |

| Circa Survive – Travel Hymn Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| To me this song seems to be about something completely different. It seems to portray the Navidson story in The House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielwski. The "particular space" I believe is the ever-dark labyrinth. You'd have to read the book to understand, or maybe I'm looking to much into it, but everything did change when the hallway appeared. The references to time and everything just fits with the book. The only religious reference in the song is to the church, and that doesn't even need to mean literally. | |
