| in the video for this song, when he says "in this silent tide we're driftwood passing by", they´re playing standing in the middle of an avenue or highway, with lots of cars passing by... it´s a great visual match with the lyrics, representing how, in the end, we´re just like wood parts floating in a river | |

well, I guess the first lines are about how things will stay the same if u don´t do anything... "As I sit here in this misery, I don't think I'll ever see the sun from here" if u stay down, ppl will look at you and say "I´ll never live that way", but in the end we all have our bad times... I guess he´s trying to say that we don´t want things to change when everything is going well "but that´s ok, they´re just afraid to change" he´s kinda forgiving ppl who is saying "i´ll never live that way" looking at him... I guess and then the lyrics tell u gotta change when times are bad... it´s like a contradiction... u just want changes in ur life if things are bad to ya ps: it´s strange how the lyrics say "But I know we all can't stay here forever, so I want to write my words on the face of today. and then they'll paint it" well when he died they painted it on his grave... |
