Although this song clearly to me is about a father molesting his daughter, it's a really good song, and I like it. The whole feeling of the song, if one leaves out the molesting part, reminds me of me, and -my dad-. When you grow up with an alcoholic dad you certaintly have seen a lot, and have to grow up a lot faster than everyone else. Even though my mom divorced him when I was a small kid, I've still had contact with him and visited him frequently, cause he's a periodic drinker, and so he has his "normal" periods, but it really tares you apart..lies, disappointments, worries.. oh well.. a bit off topic maybe;) |

Gotta have som connection to the old allegory "ship of fools" which claims that the world and us humans don't care or know where we're going, on this "ship".. that's my two cents at least;) |

Such a beautiful song :) At some points though.. this really makes me think of Vonda Shephard's song, "what becomes of the broken hearted", but of course I like this song much more;) |
