| i love how many different ideas are out there about this song, however i haven't yet seen the actual basis. Rivers himself has said that the song is about his brother, Leaves, and a car accident he was in while at Oberlin College. this explains all of the car references (wheel is flat, tank is dry, etc.) and the letter from his brother with words of deep concern (about the accident). | |
