| I have always thought that this song is very closely related to hooker with a penis. Where it is talking about how tool have not sold out. Here he is talking about how fickle a fan can be. I think it is a personal attack at a critic who once acclaimed them but then pretentiously stood up as the only one who didn't like them thus making himself the "martyr" that Manyard wishes to replace on the cross. And when he tells him not to "step out of line" he is making an ironic statement about how nobody dares to speak out against the normal trend in case the very thing Manyard is doing happens, they get slated in song format. | |
