How does anyone not get that this song is about Cain's banishment after his murder of Abel? It perfectly ties into the religious backdrop of how they got their name (God said that Cain would live forever, and if any man would dare to cause harm to him, Cain would be Avenged Sevenfold), and it moreso deals with Cain having been banished to Nod. |

Tarja was signed on to record one last album with the band, so I hardly believe in the validity of the statement. Also, it wasn't just Toumas' decision, it was the whole band's decision; Toumas, Marco, Emmpu, AND Jukka. |

A lot of you are putting too much emphasis on Tarja. The song is not about her at all. There's one fleeting reference to her in the entire song. The rest of it is about TOUMAS, and his depression over (what he believed to be) the end of his life and band. There are TWO songs about Tarja in the entire album (Bye Bye Beautiful, and Master Passion Greed) but this is not one of them. |

All online lyric sites are fan input. The official lyrics from Lacuna Coil's and Apocalyptica's sites say that it's "So, go on, infect me." Also, it's "Is this sex" in the part you were asking about. |

I personally think the song is about murder. Specifically the person is murdering their murder, out of hate or even lack of any emotion toward her. "Your tears they mean nothing to me" gives me the clear indication that the person has no emotional attachment towards the person they're talking to. |
