this is one of my favorite... one of the best songs about friendship ever written, about a friend who is really special like best friends are, and he's in trouble, alone, in need, maybe even dead now... I don't know whether mark kozelek wrote this one thinking about someone he knew (does anybody know??) but he expresses it thee way it is...with high level poetry "...shoeless sandy evenings down the unfamiliar last whiff of salt water freedom"...it's freakin' great!!! worth listening enjoy the lyrics |
