i know i'm a bit late commenting on this, but its such an amazing song and I think I finally might get what it's about. So thought i'd give it a go. I may be totally wrong, but I think it's about sex in a relationship - "lean onto me, lean into you... reverberate, shaking at the core." and how love can be destroyed by lust - "help me try to understand the great diversion that came and tore us down." Also the more physical side is portrayed by "we claw and mark like animals". So yeah I think sex is the central theme of the song. "you're tired so let's turn the lights out, you're tired so let's shut it off." This is repeated twice and i think it refers to how they're relationship has just become physical and there is no longer the original love that attracted them in the first place, he wants to shut it off. end it. "we are the couple called suicide. we are the red cross white flag." those are my favourite lines, i don't really know what they mean though. =/ extremely powerful though. Love this song so much. |

ace song =] not sure what its about? i think he has a problem with like dating and casual sex or similiar frivoulous acts. "against the white sheets your black dress looks like an awful sin" and maybe he thinks theres a lack of meaning in relationships and connections between people. gave it a shot! |

i love this song =] i think i prefer it to the other side of the crash just a couple of lyric correction suggestions: 'the anaesthetics 'not' wearing off' - instead of 'now' wearing off, not 100% sure though. an awesome line conveying a feeling of numbness. and my interepretation of the indecipherable screaming: We lost control (we're out, we're out) In what have we followed magnetic fields to the fire (we're out, we're out) but once again, im not sure, just what i hear =] |
