| Motörhead – Orgasmatron Lyrics | 4 years ago |
| Joel McIver quotes Lemmy in his Motörhead memoir Overkill:The Untold Story of Motörhead:\n"It refers to the three things that I hate most in life - organized religion, politics and war. Things like people that go to church and cum in their pants while communicating with Jesus Christ. It\'s all a bunch of bullshit. If you\'re really into that, you don\'t need to go to church or talk to God, you can talk to him everywhere, you know? Or if you join a political party and get your jollies off that, when your party wins and all that. It\'s the herd instinct. The same thing with war. They give you a nice new uniform and march you off to die."\n\nLemmy also wrote that the album title had nothing to do with the orgasm-inducing machine that appeared in the futuristic Woody Allen film Sleeper, which he had not even seen | |

| @[LVH:21077] You're talking about the end of Postmortem. Those 2 songs should always be together. | |

After reading this, I listened very carefully and one of the last lines actually does sound like 'eat shit, pardon me.' So funny |

| Misfits – Angelfuck Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| @ramtheson It sounds like you are describing Glenn Danzig! | |
| Clutch – Hale Bopp Blues Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Also don't forget the Heaven's Gate cult all wore new Nike shoes before they committed suicide. | |
| Slayer – Raining Blood Lyrics | 16 years ago |
For the poeple asking what about the beginning lyrics, usually those are attributed to the previous song on the album 'Postmortem'. Anyways if your version of the song has the end of Postmortem at the beginning here are those lyrics: My sinful glare at nothing holds thoughts of death behind it Skeletons in my mind commence tearing at my sanity Vessels in my brain carry death until my birth Come and die with me forever Share insanity Do you want to die! The waves of blood are rushing near, pounding at the walls of lies Turning off my sanity, reaching back into my mind Non-rising body from the grave showing new reality What I am, what I want, I'm only after death |

| Metallica – Breadfan (Budgie cover) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Oops my mistake it was a B side to And Justice for All | |
| Metallica – Breadfan (Budgie cover) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Good point vilenin. I also appreciate the irony of this song (as well as 'Battery'... 'go against the grain until the end') . But Breadfan was originally released as a B side to a Master of Puppets single, before Metallica was really mainstream. IMO Metallica changed a lot after Cliff Burton died (he died while they were touring on the Master of Puppets tour). Honestly I don't like anything after Master of Puppets but I am glad for them that they have achieved the success they desired. |

| Clutch – Careful With That Mic Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Wow you're right roleki! I totally forgot that Clutch opened for Limp Biscuit on the Elephant Riders tour. I was disgusted that I actually contributed to Limp Biscuits but I left after Clutch finished playing. |
| Clutch – Circus Maximus Lyrics | 16 years ago |
hahaha! It's a tour through a freakshow that contains mutated animals and monsters from Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Monster Manual. He even adds to the Freakshow mood by imitating the sales pitch type voice of the Freakshow announcer. Neil draws from Dungeons and Dragons a lot in his songwriting, and Clutch even has an awesome song about D&D '24 Earth Years' which sadly is not on any of their albums... |

| Clutch – Sleestak Lightning Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Song name is a play on words: Smokestack Lightning is a classic blues song by Howlin Wolf ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smokestack_lightning ) about a cheating woman. According to the wiki article the song name was inspired by observing trains at night billowing smoke and sparks. Sleestak are the lizard guys from Land of the Lost ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleestak#Sleestak ) So the song protagonist feels he is being chased by Sleestaks and has made preparations such as purchasing bulk duct tape and notifying the proper authorities. But no one believes him... Got to love Neil's writing |

| Clutch – Immortal Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is classic Clutch style. Niel's songwriting and tone combine to make an epic sounding story, yet mocking itself: 'I am immortal... in dog years'. His voice is so awesome he can make anything sound so... legendary. I believe this is a satirical song as well, mocking rap songs that are all claims of how tough, ruthless, womanizing etc they are. On a sidenote they opened with this song 7/22 in San Francisco it was so awesome.. After the show I was waiting for the BART train and some drunk guy was yelling at a mouse on the traintracks 'Hey you fucking mouse! Clutch rules! I am immortal!' Struck me as funny. |

| Lynyrd Skynyrd – Four Walls Of Raiford Lyrics | 17 years ago |
There is a huge error should be corrected: "Won't fly old Glory proudly, put my medals in the ground" should read: "Won't YOU fly old Glory proudly, put my medals in the ground" Changes the whole meaning of the song. He's saying he loves the country but the misquote makes him sound like an ex-patriot. |

| Misfits – Astro Zombies Lyrics | 17 years ago |
@ Peer Bour on Me: No you are wrong. This song is about liberal idiots plagued by white guilt, indoctrinated by the idealogic state aparatus disguised as higher education. These zombies are wallowing in the past, trying to keep people mired in self loathing for acts they had nothing to do with, such as slavery or American Indian treatment. Those people (read: you) are the zombies trying to exterminate humankind. My point in case you havent figured it out yet is anyone can decontruct art to fit their life views. So stop peddling your bullshit American Indian theories. @ SaintHak: lol I can relate I have rented some movies based on Misfits songs to try to put them into context and they have all sucked. They liked some weird movies. |

| Clutch – When Vegans Attack Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Oh unrelated to the animal torture argument, can anyone tell me what this line means? Who is Y and T? Y and T got records |
| Clutch – When Vegans Attack Lyrics | 17 years ago |
untermenschfurimmer: "germophobe: your capacity to fail to understand the positions and people that you attack is impressive, but it does little to enhance your position." Oh, I understand the positions of you and MissNeurotic. I am not attacking those positions, I am dismissing them. Because, for the millionth time, the song is NOT ABOUT TORTURING ANIMALS. But it is about people like you. Read the lyrics. But if you want to keep arguing off-topic tangents, lets pick a new topic! Try defending ten-speed bikes, because they are mentioned in the song too. Here, I'll start for you. OMG! Why is he all anti ten-speed bikes! He HATES the environment! I ride a tem-speed bike all the time while you assholes drive around in your cars! Get rid of your car you EARTH-HATER! |

| Clutch – When Vegans Attack Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Wow TriggerHappyJim, you are exactly right: "Especially since you do nothing but preach self-gratifying bullshit, which, incidentally, is exactly what the song is about." I was horrified that this self-righteous troll hijacked this songmeaning with 4 pages of drivel, but you are exactly right. She has unintentionally contributed to the songmeaning! I feel like such a dope for not seeing this. Thanks! |
| Clutch – When Vegans Attack Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Wow MissNeurotic still doesnt understand the song. And is STILL hijacking this conversation. And still thinks everyone but her is pro-animal torture. And is so pro-life that she wants everyone who disagrees with her to die (except animals) ---------------- by MissNeurotic on 04-03-2008 @ 01:33:53 PM "I wonder why people don't like me...haha... :)" ---------------- I THINK I KNOW! |

| Kenny Rogers – Coward of the County Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I love this song, Kenny Rogers is such a wonderful storyteller through song. How he is not in the Country Music Hall of Fame is beyond me. Anyways, this song has always confused me. I am not sure if Tommy fought the Gatlin boys fisticuff style or shot them down. Evidence for fisticuffs: 1) "Twenty years of crawlin' was bottled up inside him." 2) The chorus' specifically states fighting Evidence for shooting: 1) Fighting 3 at once is near impossible, especially one who has not fought his whole life. 2)At the end of the song Everyone still considered him the coward of the county 3) The fact his father died in prison measn he did something much worse than fight, which portends a similar ending for Tommy 4) OK I admit it, Wishful thinking; I want them Gatlin Boys to die |

| Clutch – When Vegans Attack Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I agree with Andre! Sorry to steer this back to the topic, but I love this song. Really hits home to me as a native of San Francisco suburbs. Self-righteous 'progressives' who are truly Zombie tools. The assholes that take part in Critical Mass. Phony spiritualism. Regurgitating bullshit about the USA being evil. Of course this is all what I take from the song, not Neal's opinion. |
| Clutch – When Vegans Attack Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Wow you fooled us by creating a second account! ...Fucking Troll. I will state again, this song is not about eating meat so bugger off. Did you get these brilliant facts from a textbook? "When an animal is killed most of it's protien and whatnots begin to rot." "swedish people are stupid anyways." How much should our feelings be hurt for 'having no soul' when the accuser has no brain? |
| Clutch – When Vegans Attack Lyrics | 18 years ago |
@ the aptly named MissNeurotic Clearly you are uptight, clearly you did not read the first line 'I got no problem with vegans'. Clearly you do not understand the lyrics. Clearly you know nothing about Clutch. Is any of this clear yet? The song is not in support of animal torture. The song is about the irony of the radical, fighting against 'the man' telling them what to do and how to live. The ironic part is they are telling us how to live. Like you, preaching to us about animal torture. Let's make our decisions about how to live and try to be examples to others, without being self-important patronizing pricks. |
