| Henry Rollins – I Know You Lyrics

My sister and I tuned into this after it had started one night on the radio. As we listened, we stared at each other in disbelief. Who the hell was this guy and how the hell did he know us?
Henry Rollins is a genius. |

Oh my god. The guitars, Rivers' voice... I wanna have sex with this song. :)
As for what it's about, I'm guessing your general 'parents don't want you to be a rock star' thing. |

Also the line 'someone with blood thats golden green' should be 'blood that's cold and green'.

I love this song. It rocks and makes you feel like a dork at the same time. Speaking of being a dork, the episode they're talking about is 'Arena'. B) |

This is my favourite song of all time. It was number one for one or two weeks the summer of '89. And yes, it's totally about drugs. Martika wrote it about a friend of hers who was doing drugs. |

I agree with the being forced to leave the place you love theory. |

Beautiful song. I think it's about memories of summers when you were younger and could do whatever you wanted. Reminds me of summer, oddly enough. :) |

| Caroline Lavelle – Anxiety Lyrics

I love the way she describes the emotion as a person, a lover she can't get rid of, someone who sucks her dry, who's always there waiting for her. It especially strikes me how 'he's' always in her bed, as it seems anxiety always comes as we're falling asleep or waking up.
I also wanna say how brilliant the composition of this song is - the strings sort of spiral out of control (to me anyway). |

It seems to me this is about seizing the moment before life passes you by. The devil he's singing about may be the routine people so often fall into in daily life. |

Pretty obvious what this is about. This is one of those songs that's fun to sing, if you can manage to keep from laughing through it. :) |

I heard this song in 1994, when I was still in high school, and thought I had dreamt it. I was obsessed - I had no idea who it was or the name of the song. Every so often I've done web searches for the lyrics and found nothing. Tonight I must've finally gotten lucky cos I finally found it. |

This is an amazing song. It seems to be about an illicit affair where the parties involved are addicted to/obsessed with each other to the point of self destruction. |

I'm listening to this song right now and didn't know the lyrics. This is gorgeous, even if it does remind me of being in high school and alone...
I love the comparison of his ex to an angel. Good stuff. |

I agree, I'm gonna say it's about crazy thoughts you have no control over. You know they're stupid, but they can pop up instantly and get carried away.
I love the last line of the song - sometimes I try singing it to myself if I get upset over a racing thought. :) |

| Sarah McLachlan – Wait Lyrics

To me this is a song about failed (or failing) marriage and depression. She's feeling smothered, he's always around and she has no time for herself or her dreams. She maybe feels guilty that the relationship is ending ('to have and to hold'). The 'blindness offered to appease' is her going along with it all cos it's easier for her. And finally, she can't take it anymore; she has to leave, mostly because she had no business being in the relationship to begin with ('the state I'm in...') because of her condition. |

I think this song's about shallow people who'll sell out their friends for nothing more than money, then are afraid of getting caught even though it's no secret they place possessions over people. Just my impression. |
