Aerosmith – Dream On Lyrics 18 years ago
Doesn't Steve's voice sound so much different!? This song is one of Aerosmith's best- in fact it sounds similar to Led Zep.

Van Halen – Somebody Get Me A Doctor Lyrics 18 years ago
I was thinking this song either meant he was having a little too much fun with a lady, or about drugs. I only say the drugs thing because of: 'Feelin' over fine... somebody get me a shot'

AC/DC – All Screwed Up Lyrics 18 years ago
I think it's about a guy going out with a girl. The guy thinks he's all tough and a real hardnut, but it's all a front. She finds out and kicks him out.

The Hoosiers – The Feeling You Get When Lyrics 18 years ago
Quite an unusual song. For a Hidden Track, it's fairly decent.

The Hoosiers – Killer Lyrics 18 years ago
I think the guy singing is the killer he's talking about. He's warning people about himself.

The Hoosiers – Worst Case Scenario Lyrics 18 years ago
A pessamist who is pretty much always miserable.

The Hoosiers – A sadness runs through him Lyrics 18 years ago
Personally, I think it is about a man spiralling into deep depression, perhaps a little insane.

The Hoosiers – Run Rabbit Run Lyrics 18 years ago
Girl can't see her boyfriend's a nasty piece of work. Pretty clear meaning.

The Hoosiers – Goodbye Mr A Lyrics 18 years ago
I always thought Mr A was a teacher or a superhero that pretty much sucked.

Scouting for Girls – I Need A Holiday Lyrics 18 years ago
Boring job- needs a holiday. Can't wait for the weekend. Easy to understand, right?

Scouting for Girls – She's So Lovely Lyrics 18 years ago
Although the lyrics are simple, I think the song is good. The meaning seems fairly easy to understand- he fancies a woman who is far older than him, and he's contemplating how attractive she is, even though she's older.

Amy Winehouse – Valerie (The Zutons cover) Lyrics 18 years ago
This song was originally written and sung by a man, about an ex girlfriend named Valerie, who went away, possibly to jail. Now she's come back, but he hasn't seen her. He desperately wants to meet up with her, and he's been wondering what she's been doing all this time.

Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here Lyrics 18 years ago
Syd Barrett- a legend. Shame about what happened to him. And this song is about that. 'wish you were here...' speaks for itself.

Queen – A Kind of Magic Lyrics 18 years ago
Personally, I think this was written for Highlander. I mean, come on... 'One dream, one soul, one prize, one goal...No mortal man can win this day...There can be only one...This rage that lasts a thousand years' if that doesn't sound like Highlander I don't know what does.

Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody Lyrics 18 years ago
This is my personal opinion, so please don't slate me. (This is gonna be long...) The thing is, this is Freddie's OWN LIFE- the fact he'd killed men by sleeping with them... he didn't have to be dying at the time to write about how others were dying.
Next, it says his life was only beginning, and yet even now it looked at though it was going to end. I'm not saying it was AIDS related- but alot of stars have breakdowns during their lives. [Freddie (later in life) suspected he had AIDS even before he got it] The next verse speaks for itself... 'Goodbye, everybody... Got to leave you all behind and face the truth...I don't want to die'. Of course, then it all gets freaky.
'I see a little silhouetto of a man' thats him looking at himself. Again, scaramouche (a coward, often boastful) is describing himself, poking fun at himself.
'I'm just a poor boy nobody loves me, spare him his life from this monstrosity" He often said in interviews that he found love difficult.
Then the whole 'Bismilla... no no no' section, clearly a trial, of him analysing himself, possibly looking back into his past and trying to see what might have occurred. Freddie was often very miserable in his life.
'...stone me and spit in my eye' shows the defiance Freddie was famous for. The spirit and undying determination. 'just gotta get out of here' suggests he's through with this lifestyle.
Lastly, perhaps in the last verse he's finally coming to terms with everything. 'anyway the wind blows'... bisexuality, maybe? Again, THIS IS MY INTERPRETATION OF THE SONG. Please, don't think I'm forcing it on you. That's the beauty of Queen, their songs can be thought of on so many levels.
