This song is about a guy attempting to grasp hold of a relationship with a girl who doesn't want to be with him, he says he didn't want it to become so important to him but theres a bunch of little things that make him love her. Hes asking her to talk things through with him ... TBS are so amazing, the lyrics cover so many aspects of being let down in a relationship, so so true!

my b/f just broke up with me and this song is EXACTLY how i feel, i try and kid myself that he's coming back (like Steve wrote 'I cant stop pretending that you're forever mine') but then i just realise its all over and i miss him a lot, we talked a lot about the future and the words 'i cant dream anymore' are pretty relevant in that respect. |

This is the first Finch song I ever heard and now I'm in love with their stuff. I think its about the time just before you split up with someone ... when you know things aren't working out and that your partner doesn't seem to even realise or care that your relationship is falling apart.
