I love the last part of this song and I did my damndest to try and figure out as much of it as I could. any help would be appreciated. The patron saints and children's place's singing nervous sleep (not sure about this line) (humming?) straight notes now that all my rally friends have settled down Fingertips and sand and pockets full of stolen beer All I can come up with the same news is bad news, one leg town cause all I have one youth and a piece of rotten luck (not sure about this one either) a whole life of evading my kisses and backwater dreams I'm sneakin' my hands across your shoulder blades and Won't you fall into my arms, and fall into the dunes and fall asleep? while the city grinds its teeth we dream of our heroes holding fast to boot straps beliefs and holding us nearer With our eyes shut tight, anyone can be king wearing projectors, steal concessions, let the picture begin We dance and dance till we can't see we run till we fall We hate this place but we can't leave, so where do we crawl? mouse cornered by the cat's claws it's chewed through walls you ever met such a son of a bitch you hated to love? Facing the sun sends away from a soft shoe dreams and tap dance Hangover headache, burst at the seems return to the beach, arm in arm over an old flame before the kids, the cats, the catch 22's, and the cocaine I know this won't change, the strips malls insane a fresh coat of paint and more fucking fast food chains but it's okay, my feet are still fine the sun still burning blurring lines between the sea and the sky Leaving me blind to stagger from the sea to the street the street to the streams that lead to the east and feed the machines that leave us is peace Soon as they receive their load, sing a song of St. Johns And sail alone around the rest of the globe we sail alone do Knight Rider past your house stealing signs, laughing loud, driving dragons, passing out Private pageants, collapsing clowns, it's a version of laughing out when you're down and out in the bold new city of the south |

Instead of 'i don't try to let my scare ghosts off but pretend it's not' I think he says 'i don't got to let my stare go soft but pretend it's not' but I'm not sure. I definitely hear a 'soft' and 'got' though. |

I think the last two lines go like this: 'I wish all my pitfalls could be caught by this call' makes more sense for the happy cheerio's sung at the end. |
