I really miss drinking chocolat chaud You pick me up discretely at the end of my road We would go somewhere quiet and drink 'em slow And I really miss taking drives with you Forests, fields, and villages we'd pass through There is not one single thing I'd rather do But you can move on quickly if you want to Forget about our history if you must You could find a new guy if you'd like to But I'm still hooked up on us Well I really miss the spring in my step The one that I contracted from that bed in which we slept When our hands first intertwined and our lips first met And I miss my clothes being ripped from me You found out where I was and got there rapidly Oh, I know not other, purer form of beauty But you can move on quickly if you want to Forget about our history if you must You could find a new guy if you'd like to But I'm still hooked up on us Well, I know sometimes I'm horrid Baby, I can be pretty mean And I know sometimes I'm dirty But darling, this is me coming clean I really miss you spending time with me And keeping us in contact almost constantly There is no one that I know I'd rather see And I really miss playing songs for you I would guage your reactions, let your favourites through You're the only girl I've ever let review You can move on quickly if you want to Forget about our history if you must You could find a new guy if you'd like to But I'm still hooked up on us Yes, I'm still hooked up on us |

| Ahaha, brilliance. Saw him live and he said this was about trying to communicate through text messages. | |
| Third Eye Blind – Burning Man Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| ahh that is so funny! I came to these lyrics just to see if anyone else had noticed the Wickerman feeling too. What was eerie to me was after I watched the movie I walked out of the room singing Burning Man w/out even realising it. Then I walked upstairs and my brother was playing it after he'd seen the movie too. Then we both realised how well it fit to the movie! | |

I had to make an account just to comment on this. The end of Pawn Shoppe Heart is not thievery. It is most definitely the exact same lyrics as Otis Redding's song "Try A Little Tenderness". Laguna72: it's hard to hear what Stollsteimer's saying because he does the song so differently from the original, but the lyrics are exactly the same. He didn't just reference the song with the line 'try a little tenderness' it is a cover and there is no theft whatsoever. Jason Stollsteimer is very much influenced by Otis Redding. If you listen to "Sound of Terror" on their debut album, Lack Of Communication, you will, after the break, hear Lauren Wilcox singing another Otis Redding song "Bring It On Home To Me". The Von Bondies didn't steal anything. Jason has said he's influenced by Otis Redding and at the end of the last track on both of their studio albums, they've always done an Otis Redding cover. |
