| The New Silent Generation – Turgid Threnody Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Rumbling in a similar manner to "The Disenchanted," but this time the speaker can no longer fathom his/her condition and is now slipping out of their former disillusioned "reality." | |
| The New Silent Generation – Venus in Uniforms Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Very simply, enduring the hardships we are given by learning to enjoy the pain. | |
| The New Silent Generation – The Lucas Roadshow Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I wrote this song after I watched a documentary on Henry Lee Lucas. The reasoning behind his desire to admit to literally hundreds of unsolved murders around the country for ambiguous reasons simply fascinated me. I feel as if this song is the internal conflict of someone who is willingly living a lie for a semblance of comfort. |

| The New Silent Generation – The Disenchanted Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Basically the ramblings of someone who is obviously world-weary and undesirably-enchanted, ergo the title "The Disenchanted." | |
| The New Silent Generation – Roi Fainéant Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Literally, the song is about the reaction of a criminal when their significant other finds out about what they really do for a living. Although the speaker knows that their lover's surprise is perfectly understandable, they are insulted to the point of threatening the life of companion. Symbolically it could reference how we sometimes convince ourselves to feel as if we are strangers in our own homes then take out that false sense paranoia on those we supposedly love. |

| The New Silent Generation – Dioecious Complex Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This an account from the perspective of some form of serial killer. Their motives for murder have become so disillusioned that they now view the taking of a life as some form of flippant sexual experience. Conversely, it could also be an account from the perspective of a sexually experienced individual who views the taking of someone's virginity as just another notch in their belt. The actual meaning depends on if you are personally more afraid of sex or death. |

| The New Silent Generation – Casandra's Ire Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
The title "Cassadra's Ire" refers to two things. One being anger and scorn (denoted by the word "Ire"). The second being the reference to Cassandra, who was blessed with precognition but cursed to never be believed. The lyrics reference someone who has apparently tried to save a group from themselves, but has become irritated that their words fall on deaf ears. It is then that the speaker seems to embrace the futility of trying to save them and relishes in their contribution to natural selection. Everything should make sense now. |

| The New Silent Generation – /Boot: Initializing Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The meaning is quite simple. It simply introduces some of the more evident themes throughout the album, including: the human vs. god relationship and the futility of existence. Other interpretations are solely personal and should be respected as such by all. |
