Viva - thank you for taking the time to write this post. This song can be interpreted in many ways, but I hear exactly what you wrote when I listen to the song. I, too, was just recently 'dropped' by someone who I opened up and gave my heart to. Reading your situation and interpretation is painstakingly similar to mine, but it is amazing to have songs like this that help us to get through and realize that there is life beyond the person that hurt us (and we don't have to hate them in the meantime!). I love this band, but I've always been curious: why does almost every single one of their songs mention crying? On this CD, I think it's mentioned at least once on every track. Just a silly & curious observation I suppose. :) |
