so...the first time i heard this song i didnt know it was a guy singing i thought it was a female...and then i thought she was bisexual...and married. i thought that the part about both of their names being on everything made me think theyre married and they have mutual friends and everything so its hard to split...but they dont work because they both have better things to do. however, now i know prp and have listened to more of the songs. and it takes on a completely different meaning. haha |

I do agree that this song is about the plane crash and the music dying but I also believe it has a double meaning and is about the end of the world. It is about the devil taking over the world "oh and while the king was looking down the jester stole his thorny crown." once the devil takes over christ is gone "church bells all were broken" the song starts out talking about all of the sad things happening in the news everything just keeps getting worse and worse. and then it does talk about the boys probably going off to war, and they were saying that they were going to die. everything just kept getting worse and worse. and finally the devil just takes over completely. the music died. |

This song is absolutely incredible. And yes, I agree it is about love. But I think its a little deeper. Its about Christ. He is talking about how men are empty and nothing means anything without something...God? And he talks about the nail to the hand the cross on his crown... Death of Jesus? This whole song is about how Christ is love and without him he would be nothing. However, this song does also go with the movie. Its amazing! I love songs that can have multiple meanings. And I love a good love story! yayyy |

| I disagree that this is a song about him cheating. It is about how he is always on tour with his music and it sucks having to leave his lover behind. He only gets to see her for 24 hours before hes in the air again. Which makes me think that the "Damn" is sarcasm, leaving her so much is making him wish the plane would go down. He is watching her as his plane takes off and those good-bye waves are just...tough. those plane seats are tearing him open...it rips him up to keep having to leave...so if he has to keep going up maybe he can just build her house on her cloud. hes a romantic. i love him. | |

The song is about the two different views on love. She doesn't need the candy to know he loves her, they are just a symbol. He thinks that without them there is nothing. at first everyting is fine but then he starts giving her things everytime he messes up and she becomes unhappy they realize that they think too differently about love and it wont work. the girl is his friend from nashville allie peden is her name i think. she has some solo stuff its good. |

Nobody seems to be picking up on the sarcasm. "The absence of God will bring you comfort baby and plannings for the poor so lets pretend that we're rich..." She goes from saying not to believe in God to talking about pretending... the whole song seems to be saying not to have much faith in anything because you will get let down but then people keep telling her that all of her failures are training grounds like, everythings going to get better. which it must because in the end she resolves it saying that something has to change. her beliefs, maybe? because maybe all the people are right, and things are going to get better if she would just have a little bit of faith in them. |
