| Say Anything – Crush'd Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I just love this song. It makes me want to move around and sing at the top of my lungs. Like most say anything songs. | |
| One eskimO – Kandi Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I think this is about a guy who is so in love with this girl and wants her to feel the same. He sees her as his. But his friend Jo tells him that he saw the girl, presumably "Kandi" with a guy. He feels cheated "and it hurts beyond hurt". He wants her to tell him why she needed this guy and didn't just come to him instead. Beautiful, sad song. |

| Chester French – sleep Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I am totally in love with this song. I agree with fixedaffection, but I can relate just because sometimes I just can't sleep and I feel like I can't live unless I sleep... My favorite part is "You're never ever gonna find me I'm worn out, gon' run away I need to get some sleep" Also I love the distorted vocals at the end. |

I love this song. The music video is pretty cool too. ...you got it wrong, if you say our love is gone ... |

| Kate Earl – When You're Ready Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This is such a good song. One of my favorites from the album. | |
| Broder Daniel – I'll Be Gone Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I heard this song in Fucking Amal as well. What I really want is Superstar. That was one of my favorite parts of the movie. | |
| CocoRosie – Bisounours Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This is one of my very favorite songs. I definitely think it's about wanting to go back to having the innocence and view of a child. Even if you don't know what the translation is, it still feels like that. |

| Cage – I Never Knew You Lyrics | 16 years ago |

|
| Passion Pit – Seaweed Song Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I always thought it was on bended knees but I don't know... This is one of my favorites of all their songs. 'Nobody knows you the way you know you But I think I do' |
|
| Passion Pit – Swimming in the Flood Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I really love this song. I thought I felt your touch But the water's rising up... Best line. |

| Tegan and Sara – I Was Married Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This song means so much to me. Someday... Someday... |
|
| Tegan and Sara – Infamous Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Through the grape vine I was told my ex girlfriend wanted me to listen to this song. I searched and searched for it until I found it. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to interpret from this. Anyway, I do love this song. "If you need me, well baby come and see me." |

| The Hush Sound – Magnolia Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think this is about cancer... Probably a young girl who tried to live her life normally, carrying the weight of her cancer under the pains of adolescence. Truly gorgeous song. | |
| The Hush Sound – Echo Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
You are the navigator who never could lead We were lost in the silver sea I was the ship who was too proud to ever sink These lyrics are so stuck in my head. I love this song. The piano at the end is so strong and beautiful. |
|
| The Hush Sound – Wine Red Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Regardless of meaning, I love this song. I just looked into this band and I'm in love with the girl's voice. | |
| Say Anything – Woe Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
she said "i can't get laid in this town without these pointy fucking shoes my feet are so black and blue, and so are you" This is my favorite part of this song. These few lines have stuck with me since I heard the song. An ex clues me in on this band and after the breakup I avoided music that reminded me of him, and there was a ton. Some handful of months later after having a dire need to listen to the sound that is Say Anything, I picked this song. It's so hard to describe how it makes me feel. Just kind of a Fuck You to faking. |

| Carolina Liar – Show Me What I'm Looking For Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think you should interpret it for yourself. What does it mean to you? To me it's not a worship song. Right now it feels like the guy's been in a bad situation where he doesn't know what to do and he feels pretty bad and unsure. Finally he gets some good thing, it could be an event like getting a job, getting into a great relationship, or getting to move away, but he's still finally seeing relief. I'm not religious and I don't believe in God but I still sometimes say "Oh Lord" when something great or bad happens. Right now I'm getting ready to leave a place where I'm not happy and I can really relate to this song. Hearing this song was almost the same feeling I believe is expressed in the song. So refreshing and it just makes you feel good. Chad Wolf did grow up in a religious home and takes some musical influence from gospel music. I think that style comes through a lot in this song. |

| Passion Pit – I've Got Your Number Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"This is where I tell you that I know love's what I need to work at." These lines are perfect. They tie it all together. It's all about making it work when it doesn't work for you. |

| Passion Pit – Sleepyhead Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song is amazing and it makes me feel so free. I see the sex metaphor but to me it's something else. Besides just being awesome, it reminds me of after breaking down. You're tired and your eyes are burning. You've been on fire with sadness or rage. Now you're coming down and you're so sleepy. "You were one inch from the edge of this bed I dragged you back a sleepyhead" She's on the edge and he worries so he pulls her to bed and lets her sleep it off. In the morning her family and friends crowd her, proud and hungry for their own stable lifestyle. "They couldn't think of something to say the day you burst With all their lions and all their might and all their thirst They crowd your bedroom like some thoughts wearing thin Against the walls against your rules against your skin" They maybe suggest she gets help so they don't have to deal with it but it's not what she wants. It might feel like they're against her when all she needs is to sleep with the guy who protected her through her breakdown and all night. He loves her and he's going to stay. "My beard grew down to the floor and out through the doors" I'm not sure, but this is how it feels to me sometimes. Sometimes it definitely feels like more of a sexual meaning. |

| Nickel Creek – This Side Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| right now this song really calls to me. i just started dating this amazing girl and so this is kind of a first of this type of relationship for the both of us. a little nervous. a little scared. it's foreign. we're not going to be able to keep it a complete secret but i'm not so terrified anymore. "one day you'll see her and you'll know what i mean..." | |

| Minus the Bear – We Are Not a Football Team Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| first off i love the title. second off i just love minus the bear. and third, i love this song. it's so beautiful. just the concept. i want more than anything for someone to sing this song for me. i think the title is fitting because we are not a football team makes me think that they are gentle and do what they want to do. | |

| M.I.A. – 20 Dollar Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| M.I.A. is brilliant. such style as well. i saw an article on her in a music magazine. amazing. this is one of my favorite songs of hers. it's definitely about uganda and how money is used so easily in the US. paper planes and come around are more good songs from this album. what a good buy. also i do think that the floss my titty set is about how people expect her to show off her body and look at her like she's "porn in a skirt" but she didn't throw herself around. go M.I.A. | |
