i'm probably being too simplistic to try and tag this song as being about an ended relationship... with the protagonist's now ex being someone who has been through it all before...moves on...shows no remorse or regrets... meanwhile the protagonist has to struggle through...try to adjust...try to get back to how [he?] was before it all started... always love to hear other thoughts... amazing song all the same... r.i.p... |

my goodness... the haunting voice of ian ashbury... such an amazing closing track... i interpret it as being about a fighting couple...or recently split up...where the guy is looking back on how things were...all the bad stuff...but he can still see how he could've fixed it... there's still a feeling there that he's admitting it's over...and i wouldn't go as far as he's almost saying "no hard feelings"...but the last line suggests something like that... *shrugs*... awesome song...deserved at least one effort at interpreting... |

okies...here we go...first ever comment on here... "and there's no way to know/our future foe scenarios" you can't tell who you're gonna fight with in your life...or when...or whatever... "that's when it turned on me/where bobby pins held angels wings/it's alright" even the most important people in your life...they're not like that forever...someone you see as an angel might not be that later on down the track... but the last line leaves reassurance...like that's the way how life is...it's nothing to fear... so beautifully written though... |
