I agree, and believe that it is sung from the perspective of a dead man, singing about his friend or lover after he dies. I love the line 'I can't wait for you'. I think in a strange cynical way he's saying he can't wait for her to die because he wants to see her again. Just a plainly amazing song. |

| This song is so moving. I love everyones interpretations, but to me it doesnt feel like someone left him. It feels like he's leaving. Like... he's dying. He's telling her to remember him and all the times they had. He's unsure of what's going to happen after he dies. He seems frightened. It seems like he keeps going on and on in desperation thinking she'll forget him. | |
