I love this song so much, but it's weird, though. The lyrics are really depressing but the guitar riffs are something you’d hear in a power metal song. You’ve got two guitars driving these hard and fast riffs and the drumline kicking in with power and enthusiasm. The mix is unexpected, but it gives the song a particular edge to it. In my opinion, Priest did it to give the song a bitter and sardonic tone.

This song means a lot to me. I went out with my ex from December '07 to August '08. We were madly in love. I treated her like crap because I was an idiot. I lied to her at times, I didn't tell her the whole truth, etc. November of '08, I began thinking about her again and wanted to get back together. She had a new boyfriend and they've been together ever since. And me? I'm still hoping that she'll come back to me one day. Won't happen. She doesn't want me to talk to her anymore. Billy Corgan is a tragic genius.

Favorite song on "Indestructible." Disturbed has really outdone themselves. The way I interpret the song is that "The Night" that the song refers to symbolizes a person's internal "demons."

This song is seriously one of the best I've ever heard. In my perspective, this song is about a special someone who makes the character feel safe and secure. Presumably a best friend or girlfriend. It's obvious that this person or entity means a lot to Ryan. |
