After reading everyone else's interpretation and after giving it some thought (at least seconds) I think this song is about him thinking back to his triumphant high school days and now he's in his best clothes and he doesn't know what to do when confronted with the record label. He's reminiscing in the way we all do: i.e. it's not as bad now as he really thinks. There's a definite non serious tone to this song I think. There isn't much better than when shouting along to this. |
