When my daughter was born, 3 years ago, I had HELLP syndrome, 7 weeks before my due date, my daughter was taken by emergency c-section, I refused blood transfusions for religious reasons, and had a seizure, came extremely close to dying......when I heard this song, I burst into tears----when you know someone is dying, it is painful, sometimes too painful to stay with that person, and watch them die. If someone REALLY LOVES you, they will stay and watch you die. I realized how many people stayed to watch me die. WOW WOW WOW |

I was at the Decemberists show at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland Jan. 23 and when Colin introduced 'we both go down together', he said "and this is a song about double suicide"
