I think this song is about retreating into a world with your loved one, your closest friends..When all the time together is used up, you must return to 'real life', the humdrum static monotony of jobs and obligations. Whenever me and my S.O. and our 2 or 3 closest friends hang out, we always listen to this song. It touches each and every one of us in a very deep way. We know these times in our lives will pass, as everything does, and someday we may even have to say goodbye for the last time. Its always a truly sad moment to part ways and return to our 'real lives'. |
