| Hahaha wow, I thought the sex reference/feeling of the song was just coming from my mind being the in gutter. xD Oh well, catchy song, despite its meaning. | |

I personally think that this is one of the best tracks on The Black Parade - I love the Italian/European feel to it, especially towards the ending chorus. Sounds like The Patient or whoever the song is about is going off to war/in war, writing home to his mother and saying that she should have had a daughter who wouldn't have gone off into combat, and that he's doomed to die on the battlefield. He's going the hell because he's killed others in the war along with his fellow soldiers. "We all carry on, When our brothers in arms are gone, So raise your glass high, for tomorrow we die, And return from the ashes you call." Basically, the troops will carry on even when they lose comrades from the fighting. They're pretty much toasting their deaths that'll happen tomorrow. As for the final line, maybe he'll return from the ashes (cremated?) and haunt or revisit his mother. |
