I called up my friend my friend the good angel but she out with her answerphone. She says that shed love to come here but the sea would electrocute us all. Simply sublime |

This is obviously about how little progress we have made since the cold war. We all I hope know what a 4 Minute Warning was during the cold war and yet today the threats we face give us no warning. We have actually regressed. Sad but beautiful song. |

I saw them May 5th in West Palm Fla and they closed with this.
Most powerful song ever written, and that's not hyperbole. Thom says he didn't write this song, it just came out and it's too dark for anyone to really understand. I have a tattoo of the lyrics "immerse your soul in love" |

I don't see them as strikly christian. They often refer to a higher power but it can be interpreted many ways by many religions. |

I think it's purely about that moment in a relationship when you realize the person you love has lost the ability to surprise you. It's sad and won't ever happen again but now you know that person in and out and that can be even more rewarding. |

I've been a Radiohead fanatic for years and years and for whatever reason I never read these lyrics till now and it is such a gift to experience Radiohead as new again. |

This was pretty early in their career when I believe the saw that they had a choice of being commercially popular or artistically free (keep in mind that they were just like other bands in EMI's eye before OK Computer.) They obviously chose to be artistically creative and that is why we are all here posting about a b-side of the best band that there has ever been. |

There are just different versions of the song, they don't have a studio version. The most prevalent is the one recorded at Pinkpop. Great song, one of their best B-Sides |

The perfect child facsimile sounds to me like a precursor to Kid A, possibly a clone of some sort or a creation that is here to save the human race ("talking out the world") |

Has anyone read Chuck Klosterman's Killing Yourself to Live? There is a whole chapter about how this album relates to 9/11. This song represents the chaos of the planes hitting the buildings. its very interesting |

I think it does have to do with how we basically ignore all the death and destruction that takes place in 3rd world countries. We are all "blinded" by our "Pearly" things in life and if we just concentrate on those things we won't feel guilty for letting all the other stuff happen every day in the world. |

| Billy Corgan – The CameraEye Lyrics

To me this song is talking about the incredible vanity that has overtaken our society with the onset of Facebook, Myspace, etc... We all are constantly in "The Cameraeye" and post pictures of ourselves posing and that is the way we interact. We have no real sense of who our friends and lovers are anymore. I love this song. It also reminds me of the old story that some tribes in Africa won't have their picture taken because everytime a picture is take it takes a piece of your soul. |
