She hopes he feels the same way, but if he doesn't, it changes nothing for her. Based on the upbeat melody though, I'm guessing he loves her, too. It's just so perfect. Mmmm love this song. Another thing - my wonderful boyfriend isn't always one to share his feelings, and I'm the world's biggest sap. I will always be telling how much I care, and he just smiles and/or kisses me on the forehead. But because of just how much he means to me, it doesn't matter. I have so much love for him, and he can do with it what he will. |

That line... When everything falls to pieces, you can't help but flash back to that pinkie-promise to be friends forever. |

Isn't amazing when you hear a song that puts into words the feelings you could never articulate, but so badly wanted to? I picture this song to be like a letter this girl is writing to an ex-boyfriend that she will probably never send. But in it she's spilling out alll her feelings towards him and is thanking him for everything he's given her. She knows that she's really hurt him and that he still really cares about her, but for one reason or another, she needs to move on. "And you stood before me knowing that the wings I have you gave." There it is. That line... Those are the words I've been searching for for so long now. |
