I positively love this song, but I thought 'Thirteen' was annoying, melodramatic, and not something I'd recommend to anyone. Angry tirade aside, it really just strikes me as about someone who's really beat down by everything in their life. Even the tune of the song sort of matches that. And about the title, people call their crappy cars 'lemons' because they're ugly, broken, and have fallen into disrepair. Maybe it has something to do with that? |

Ooh... I completely just realized something. Is the 'poet who can't play guitar' supposed to be Richey Edwards? Dang, I feel semi-smart. Oh yeah, and ntwjones... I think things like that too... like connections... that's really cool. Anyways... great song, one of my favorites by the Manics, actually. |

This song sounds a little sophist-y to me. Like how they thought the there was no absolute truth, because what was true to you isn't always true to otehr people. Like the 'Find your truth, face your truth, etc' part is like, the part that sort of glued my face to it...but yeah... that may just be my world history class talking... |
