And Scythe Death, you get nowhere in life by being an arrogant, know-it-all prick. Part of the beauty of music is how you interpret things. Just because you interpret is one way doesn't mean others can't interpret it another. I agree some shit being said is retarded, but get over it and move on with your life instead of sounding like a total douche bag via the internet. |

More like when you close your eyes tight enough, or try to hide from the darkness/pain, you also make it impossible to have any good or light come into you, because you are too busy trying to hide from what's bad. The way people interpret songs is totally their choice. Just saw them in concert 2 days ago and is was the best concert ever... Too bad they didn't play this song. It's one of my favorites. |

To me, this song is about someone who has a secret they are hiding, or are afraid to be who they are because of the pressure they have around them. I know this feeling all to well, and to me the most powerful line in the song is "Alone in a crowded room". That feeling can be so real, especially when you are hiding something from everyone and if they were to know this secret, they would "Cast their first stones, they will cast them at you". Trapt makes suchs a deep and real connection with almost all their songs, and that's why they are the band they are today. They may not be the most popular but they have the best fans. :D |
