| This song is so beautiful, I'm covering it for my music performance class. Her version and how she sings it made me think of the song so differently. I used to think it was about complete devotion to a friend or lover, but the song just has these sad undertones in how she sings it. I think it may be an unwanted devotion. Like, "you can leave me over and over but I'll always be here for you to come to, I have to be", she loves him so much shes willing to be used time after time and despite him taking advantage of her devotion, she knows she'll take him back "time after time". | |

i think its a reference to the verse in the bible about God saying, i will knock and you will let him in.. as in let him into your heart. and i think when hes saying that he cant tell where you end and i begin, just means like christ. like most christians, were to be more christ-like. so if he cant tell where he ends, and God begins.. its best |

i think it just has to do with the fact that its too good to be true. that something has always happened before in previous relationships, and they blamed him. so now, its goin great, its wierd. and hes just waiting for the misfortune to happen. |
