Ok, this is the deal, then, can we just leave it? Amy's sister Bonnie died aged three, from an UNKNOWN reason. Amy was six. She was at school when she found out. that's why the song starts "Playground school bell rings again, rain clouds come to play again". The bell made her remember each time she heard it. Bonnie DID NOT die in front of Amy.
On another matter, has anyone read a poem by Seamus Heaney, it's called "Mid-term break" I had to do it in school for my GCSE in English literature. It seems quite similar to the emotions evoked in this song. (for the poem, visit http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/mid-term-break/) |

I have this song on an album called Le Nouveau Gothique... n idea where it came from but my friend copied it for me... most probably downloaded but hey, I didn't ask for it! I understand that thisong is very personal to Amy, and I respect that. But it's so beautful (I have it on a cd a friend burned me... sorry, I didn't know then). Does anyone actually know who this is about? I thought maybe her husband at first but I have a feeling she wrote it before him? |
