Originally, I thought this was a song about losing a good friend. Then I lost a doll that I had had since I was a baby and had this huge sentimental attachment to, and I was, like, "Totally! I can soooooooooo relate it to that." I found out, however, that the song is actually about a little girl who was killed by a drunk driver. :( That is where we get the 'bottles are thieves' line, as well as the reference to an empty bedroom with 'no angel in sight'. |
