after taking a look here at all the meanings posted i think metallijim is probably the one who nailed it. i always thought it was about religion basically like itsmeman40. if metallijim hadn't heard it from phil himself, then i would agree with itsmeman40. this song is my all time favorite pantera song. sure, it's not as brutal sounding as they usually are, and i admit phil's vocals get to be a bit too much at the end, but this song is still too epic to be denied! |

i think this song is about being caught up in the moment, or looking back at times where you've felt that. with their music these guys try to invoke that type of feeling again. the music, the words, THE SONG is amazing... GOMEZ is AMAZING! |

i think this song (in general) is about how we all try to have paths we walk in life, but sometimes get skewed by things around us " been thinking one thing but doing something else in a daze " and how we try to still justify it. i don't think it's meant to be condescending due to the upbeat nature of the song, but rather just a friendly reminder to stay true to ones' self. |

This song is about more then just weed. 10 years after this song was recorded, it still puts most of today's hip-hop to complete shame. they talk about making money, fly life as an MC, and how they don't need guns cuz they spit lyrics harder then bullets. this song is probably one of the sickest hip-hop songs ever! |

The Lyrics posted at the top are incorrect. "themuz" has posted the proper lyrics (just listen closely). i think for the most part this song has been described well. A man is all but broken over a girl who doesn't reciprocate the feeling. however i get the feeling it's more about a guy who loves his (female) friend and wants more but she is reluctant & perhaps caught up in her own thing, which to him isn't as important as focusing on the love he wants to share with her. this is a really great song, one of their best. if only they would just do an extensive NATION WIDE tour and not just the east/south & west coasts. |

hands down my fav OLP song. great song, great lyrics... if only the rest of this album was as epic as this song is, maybe it wouldn't have taken them 12 years to have a big single in the US. bands like OLP & the Hip are the two biggest reasons i envy all canadians. |

i think this song is about the challenges of thinking clearly. at the end he says "So when mind's clear from confusion
Like a blue cloudless sky There'll be nothing to say to you people You're forever fucking blind" it is pretty self explanatory, meaning that when he's finally clear, people still won't comprehend him. |

i noticed one correction that needs to be made, in the 2nd verse it should say: "I can kill a man, because he doesnt see that Pictures are LOVE, she is the one, who endures the pain".
I think this song may be about a broken family, where the child is left watching the mother succumb to bitterness, anger, and possibly bad relationships. I am not sure what CRegg is talking about in the first verse, but in the 2nd verse I think he is talking about how he goes back (remembering the past) and is angry with "a man" because he doesn't see the pain he's caused (the mother). The part towards the end really shows the devotion with the line "Love can never be as divine As she is so". This song has a very angry sounding chorus, and the lyrics are pretty sad. CRegg really captures the pain & despair of the mother and how her pain & despair is affecting others. |
