This is an awesome song, awesome music and awesome lyrics. I'm not militant about my edge at all, but this is one fucking awesome song. And I must disagree with both sides in this discussion, because ExC are singing about poisoned minds as well as the society in general here. No exceptions, eh. I think it's pretty fucked up to be preaching about how other people should not preach as well, stop being so fucking hypocritical. And to that dude that said that all straight edge music is about beating up people eating hamburgers, despite the sarcasm in that comment that is pretty ignorant. As well, there are militarism (?) in all forms of styles and genres etc, people will always have different ways of expressing themselves, some turn to violence, some turn to whining etc. There will always be two sides of everything, so start thinking that you're not right about anything even though it feels like you are, because your meanings are NOT the correct ones, there are no rights and wrongs, despite the "laws" etc. And finally, I wanna say that I think that militant edge is awesome, though I am a pacifist, that people can believe so much in something so great. But when they turn to violence, it's gone too far, because edge is right for them, not right for everyone. Ok too much blabbering. Peace. |
