I'm not going to talk about what this song is supposed to mean, rather what it means to me. When I first heard this song I was going through a very difficult time in my life. The walls I had built up around myself were crumbling; the lies I had told myself and the people I was close to were falling apart around me as well. I had a difficult decision to make, one that would cause me heartache and problems throughout the rest of my life no matter which way I chose. I really identified with the woman in the song, and with the song itself, and I think it really helped me through that time. |
