I don't think it's smoke he is singing about when he says "Blås med meg min kvite russer" I think it's more like "bring/blow with me my White Russian". As he jumps with his parasol off the balcony, he wants the wind to bring with him his drink so he won't be lonely. So the wind is to carry the White Russian with him. |

It was late And I was on the way From Germany to Poland, They want everything I've heard, and everything I've seen, the police, the police, the police they want everything I've heard, the police. And it had become known that I held a document of a certain kind that prompted them to take me in and interrogate me, the police, the police, the police They took me in and interrogated me, the police. We know who you are. We know everytzing about you, and we know where you live, and we know where you live. Mr. police, Mr. Police You'll never find me again because I have gone off the path, Mr. Police. You'll never see me again. And I ran God, knows how a ran, but I saw nothing. For all I know, I ran in circles. But they couldn't keep up the police, the police, the police They couldn't keep up, the police. We know who you are. We know everytzing about you, and we know where you live, and we know where you live. Mr. Police, Mr. Police, You'll never find me again, because I've gone off the path, Mr. Police... |

It was a long winter, but spring came in the end, and everyone on the boat had a party There were [overgrown] nets and a lot of blood and sweat. The Captain worked like a horse He was a skinny little weirdo with a hunger for experience but the rations were mostly water and seeds. He stood by the rudder the whole day, and had a bet with Skagen about which way was the quickest to Capp Horn. Lay the table. When the ocean was calm, we were to have a break from the craziness, Everyone sat down to play cards. The captain gave out the cards, and the rest of us played, and the money changed hands pretty quickly Carlos despaired while the others smiled, they said: we'll take everything Carlos has And later when the judgement was made, carlos had lost everything. It was because he only collected the spades. Row home to Transylvania Forget personalities and trivialities Lay the table, send a telegram to Victoria because we are almost there. Victoria, lay the table. De'd lost a couple of men; Carlos was the last It happened when we came to Marseilles He lost a drinking contest against The Belgian Chimpanzee, so now he isn't sailing any more. It was chaos in Hong Kong, we struck a rock by Laos. We thought we'd never get away from there, but then a native tribe came out and thought our ship was God and pushed us out on the open sea. This song is about some sailors traveling around the globe and some of their crazy mishaps. Most importantly its about going home. It's just a funny song. :) The Sentence Dekk Bord is rather difficult as it is from a story of a table that magically gets plates and food on it (if I remember it correctly...). The most direct way to translate would be "Fill Table!", but that doesn't make much sense. |

It's a cold November, bordering December I see nothing, my vision is blind I have sent my position, this is my conclusion I no longer trust my instincts So farewell, farewell, wish me luck Light candles for me tonight. Give my son a hug. And say hi to the priest, tell him I'm a Christian now. A part of that process nearly killed me. You can't take my beliefs away from me. Because no one heard my order/commando, And there is no life in my tango. Looked up towards the heavens and my savior floated down, Like a feather, like a feather, my savior floated down. Looked up towards the heavens And my savior was shot down, Like a feather, like a feather, my savior was shot down. I think this song is about someone going into a situation where they are bound to die. The person gives his last words to someone to let them know that he has come to terms with the fact that he is going to die. I love the ending, because it could mean that he has a religious moment or simply a moment where he thinks that he might survive, but that chance is destroyed easily, much like a feather. |
